Strength in Fragments

About us

A small organisation with a wide heart.

Deaf-led and trauma-informed, our work grows from lived experience; the overwhelm, the quiet struggles, and the gentle moments of connection that help us feel held again.

Our Story

Where this work began.

Strength in Fragments began with lived experience: the overwhelm, the quiet struggles, and the small moments of comfort that helped us feel held again.

We grew from the belief that gentle support, accessible tools, and slow spaces can make hard days feel a little softer.

What started as a personal need became a community offering: a place where tenderness is allowed, where care is intentional, and where every fragment of someone’s story is welcome.

Deaf-led & Women-led

Led by lived experience.

We are a Deaf-led and women-led organisation, shaped by the realities of navigating the world with sensory, emotional, and access needs.

Our work centres accessibility, compassion, and lived experience, not as an add-on, but as the foundation.

We design every resource, every space, and every interaction with care, clarity, and softness, so people can arrive exactly as they are.

Mission

Why we exist.

Our mission is to create accessible wellbeing support for people navigating hard times.

We offer grounding tools, creative wellbeing kits, and calm community spaces that help people feel connected, supported, and gently held.

We exist to make wellbeing feel possible, even on the days when everything feels too much.

Vision

What we are working towards.

We imagine a future where wellbeing support is slow, gentle, and accessible to everyone.

A future where Deaf people, disabled people, and people facing overwhelm or disadvantage can find care without needing to explain themselves.

A future built on softness, community, and lived experience, where small comforts create big shifts.
