About us
Built from lived experience.
Strength in Fragments CIC began as one person's quiet hope: that there could be softer ways to ask for help, and softer ways to offer it.
A small organisation with a wide heart.
BSL videos are being added throughout July–August 2026.
We are currently adding BSL videos across the website to make our content even more accessible. Thank you for your patience while we update. Follow us on YouTube for BSL updates.
Our story
We are a small, Deaf-led community organisation. We grew out of years of navigating systems that were not built for us, for Deaf people, for trauma survivors, for those who think and feel differently.
Deaf-led leadership
Deaf experience shapes every decision we make, how we communicate, how we design our spaces, how we welcome people in. We do not consult on access as an afterthought; access is the starting point.
Trauma-informed values
We believe in slowness, choice and safety. We never ask people to disclose more than they want to. We trust people to know what they need.
Accessibility commitment
BSL videos sit alongside plain-English text on every page. Our forms are short. Our spaces are sensory-aware. We are always learning, and we welcome your feedback on how we can be more accessible.
